Mochi-Making Experience Participant Agreement

This agreement outlines the safety precautions and responsibilities related to the mochi-making experience, including eating mochi. By participating in this experience, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Important Safety Notice Regarding Mochi Consumption - Mochi is a sticky food that can pose a choking hazard, especially for those unfamiliar with it, including children, the elderly, or individuals with weakened chewing abilities. To reduce this risk, participants are advised to follow these guidelines:

• Cut Mochi into Small Pieces: Before consuming, cut mochi into small, bite-sized pieces to reduce the risk of choking.
• Chew Slowly and Thoroughly: Eat mochi slowly, chewing thoroughly before swallowing. Rushing while eating increases the risk of choking.
• Eat with a Drink: Always have water or tea available when eating mochi. This will help if the mochi feels difficult to swallow, making it easier to pass down the throat.

2. Acknowledgement of Risk - By participating in this experience, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• You have been informed of the potential choking hazards associated with eating mochi and understand these risks.
• You have received advice on how to safely eat mochi, and it is your responsibility to follow these guidelines.

3. Liability Waiver - The provider of this mochi-making experience (hereinafter referred to as "the Provider") is not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or accidentsthat occur during or as a result of this experience, including but not limited to choking or allergic reactions. The Provider has made reasonable efforts to inform participants of the risks and precautions, but it is the responsibility of the participant to follow these guidelines.

• Personal Responsibility: By participating in this experience, you acknowledge that you are fully responsible for how you consume mochi and any consequences thereof. The Provider is not responsible for any harm or discomfort caused by participants not following the provided advice or precautions.
• Medical Conditions: If you have any medical conditions (such as difficulty swallowing or food allergies) that could increase your risk during this experience, it is your responsibility to inform the Provider in advance and take additional precautions as necessary.

4. Conduct and Property Damage

• Noise Control: As this experience takes place in public or sacred areas (e.g., temples), please respect the environment by avoiding loud noise or disruptive behavior. Violating this may result in the immediate termination of the experience or other consequences.
• Prohibition of Hazardous Behavior: Please refrain from any actions that could cause injury to others or damage to the facility (e.g., misuse of tools). Participants are responsible for any injuries or accidents resulting from such behavior.
• Damage to Property: If any equipment, facilities, or property is damaged due to participant negligence or deliberate actions, the participant will be held responsible for repair or replacement costs.

5. Release of Claims - By signing this agreement, you release the Provider and its staff from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising out of personal injuries, property damage, or accidents that occur during or after the mochi-making experience.

6. Agreement to Follow Instructions - Participants agree to follow all instructions and guidelines provided by the Provider, particularly those concerning safe mochi consumption and conduct in public spaces. Failure to do so may increase the risk of injury or accidents, for which the Provider is not responsible. By signing below, you confirm that you have read and understood this agreement and that you voluntarily accept the terms and conditions.
